2005  Show Horses

This looks to be a very busy year with more performance horses hitting the ring than ever under Dessia's guidance. We will only be presenting three youngsters in Halter - Seneca, Star and Styx. The rest will be continuing their performance careers or making their debuts under saddle. Most all of the horses will compete in Sport Horse classes and Dressage. All in all there is expected to be a lot of fun, excitement and laughs as we bring the youngsters (2 and 4 legged) into the ring - many for the first time!

Lady Rena Bee
(Ibn Bee x Cerrena Corte)
1991, 14.2 hand Chestnut Arabian Mare
Owned by Bailey McBride

Rena had been started under saddle a couple years ago, but had a couple foals since then. She has never been shown yet. Fall of 2004 found her being put back into training for Bailey to ride and show. She is a lovely JTR Hunter Pleasure horse and they make a very pretty picture together. Bailey plans to show her in showmanship, Hunter Pleasure 13 & under, Dressage and possibly Western Pleasure in the future.

Well, it was quite the year for these two! Despite lots of butterflies Bailey piloted Rena around the Dressage ring and the Equitation ring to a few really good ribbons. Then onto Tulip where she qualified for Regionals and even beat Dessia in one class! At the Region 18 show, the pair made a great effort, occasionally making a card here and there. The fall fairs and trail rides found them really settling in and they had a great time. Bailey with Rena was named Champion Mare at the Stormont Fair, 4-H Regional Reserve Champion in Metcalfe and her division winner

Bee A Star
(Ibn Bee x Diablo's Siera Dawn)
2003 Bay Half Arabian Gelding
Owned by Marianne Moore

Star competed in 2004 as a yearling, doing very well in his halter classes, winning all his classes at the Jubilee included being named Champion HA Gelding and was placed 2nd in all his classes at the Tulip. Marianne is looking forward to showing him again this year in HA Gelding Halter and Sport Horse In Hand.

Man After Midnight
(Ibn Bee x EB Nakeesha)
2003 Bay Arabian Gelding
Owned by Susan Wallis - offered for Sale

Styx also competed in 2004. He did very well and is growing into a tall, elegant gelding with a great topline and overall look. If he continues to grow so nicely, plans are to take him to the Region 18 Championships for the 2 year old Sweepstakes Gelding class and Sport Horse in Hand.

Seneca Bee
(Ibn Bee x Amberlysa by Hennessy)
2004 Black Arabian Gelding
Owned by Dessia Miller - offered for sale

Seneca attended his first show at his dam's side. He placed 2nd in his very first class. He is already 14 hands at just a year old and very bold and brash. He is a lovely combination of his sire and dam: classy, flashy, smooth and extremely friendly. Plans are for Tulip, Breeder's, Jubilee and the Region 18 Yearling Sweepstakes class.

Cabasco
(Hennessy x Quinte Phantazia)
2001 Grey Arabian Mare - 14.1 hands
Owned by Cathleen Bourret - available for purchase - Sweepstakes Nominated - SCID clear

Mecca is a very sweet and adorable mare. She has just started her training in February and was under saddle willing and eager within 2 weeks. She will make an excellent all around child's horse or petite adult amateur. Mecca has her sire's big stride, presence and wonderful attitude. She is showy and has that "look" to draw the judge's eye. She will be shown Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse, Dressage and likely by one or two of the AES students in JTR classes.

Parker AES
(Hennessy x Cryztalgara by Granted)
2000 Bay Arabian Gelding - 14.3 hands
Owned by Dessia Miller - available for purchase - Sweepstakes Nominated

Parker will be competing in Country English Pleasure Junior Horse this year and likely JTR classes too. He is a super fun horse to ride and just loves to TROT. He has just started to be used in the AES lesson program for the more advanced students. Very responsive and willing, he has a really nice solid way of going that will only improve with time and experience.
